About this tour
A full day out of London that starts by Hay's Galleria, near London Bridge station. A guide drives you to three vineyards, chosen to show the range of English wine from large producers to small ones, with a tasting at the cellar door of each. Tasting fees are included.
Lunch is a seasonal picnic of local food with a glass of English wine. Between stops you drive through villages and farmland, and the guide talks about the region's history of fruit growing. Allow about eight hours.
Three contrasting producers in one day is a good way to compare styles, and nobody has to drive. The listing does not name the vineyards, and with three stops and the drive from London, expect a lot of time on the road.
