Appledore · Tasting
A tasting of four of Gusbourne’s vintage sparkling wines at the estate on the edge of Romney Marsh.

Photos from the tour listing.
An 11am tasting at The Nest, Gusbourne's cellar door at Appledore on the edge of Romney Marsh. You sit down to four of its sparkling wines, which Gusbourne makes only from its own grapes. It lasts about an hour and the listing says it is wheelchair accessible.
Gusbourne is one of England's most highly regarded sparkling wine producers, so this is a good-value way to try the core range. It is a tasting rather than a tour, but you can follow Gusbourne's free 45-minute self-guided walk through the vines before or after.
Children cannot join the hosted tastings. Without a car, take a taxi from Ashford International or Rye: Appledore station has no taxis or buses.
Best for: sparkling wine drinkers who want to taste Gusbourne's wines at the source without committing to a longer tour.
Opening times, food, how to get there and a map are in our full guide to Gusbourne.
